Remember the singer Tweet and her hit single “Oops (Oh My)” produced by Timbaland. The lyrics were semi-sexual and everyone was singing the tune back in 2002. 

The infamous chorus goes,

Recently, a fan posted a meme about the song on Twitter. In the caption, the online user wrote, “Tweet said masturbation but make it a bop.” Missy Elliot caught wind of the comment and shared a fun fact about the record. Missy said the song was never about masturbation. 

“It was always about her appreciating her dark skin (self-love) when she looked in the mirror. It was the listeners that thought it was about sex and ran with it…and we just let the consumers mind create what they wanted.” Take a look:
