It’s so refreshing to see the legendary Missy Elliott’s face on another cover of a magazine.
The 45-year-old producer, rapper, innovator, has created a legacy that compares to none, and in the June issue of Elle Magazine celebrating ‘Women in Music’, she talks about it all!
Remember the infamous trash-bag suit in the 1997 ‘The Rain (Supa Dupa Fly)’ video? Well according to Missy Elliott, “the outfit was a symbol of power” she went on to say “I knew I could have on a blow-up suit and still have people talking. It was bold and different. I’ve always seen myself as an innovator and a creative unlike any other.”
We definitely can’t argue that!
