According to TMZ, music executive Clarence Avant, who was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, wife was murdered in their home during a home invasion.

Reportedly, Beverly Hills PD got a call around 2:30 AM. The caller told dispatched that (Jacqueline Avant) had been shot. Jacqueline was rushed to a nearby hospital.

A family source tells TMZ that the people who broke into the house fired shots and hit Jackie. Clarence was home at the time.
