Damn, just like that it’s over. Netflix canceled Spike Lee’s series “She’s Gotta Have It” after running for two seasons.

According to reports, Lee is interested in shopping the series to other outlets. The news of the cancelation comes just two months after the release of the second season back in May. The series is an adaptation of his 1986 film with the same name.

Ted Sarandos, the chief content officer at Netflix made a statement about the cancelation. “Spike Lee is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time and we’re thrilled he brought the series ‘She’s Gotta Have It’ to Netflix. While this is our last season, we’re very proud that it will be on our last season, we’re very proud that it will be on our service for years to come and excited to be working with Spike on his upcoming Netflix film ‘Da 5 Bloods.’”
