Everyone wants to know where Nicki Minaj is at with her old rap beef with Lil Kim, and she came through with the answers.
In a recent interview with GENIUS, Nicki set the record straight on how things commenced between herself and the legendary Lil Kim.
“But they don’t tell you that story about me! They only have one narrative! Someone got at me! A veteran got at me, and I hit them with “Roman’s Revenge” and kept on going! What was I supposed to do? Not feed my fucking family? You never gonna make me not feed my fucking family. So, I did what I had to fucking do!
Nicki Minaj made it very clear that she was praising Lil Kim prior to their “misunderstanding” and held herself down when things got crazy.
“Prior to that, I was bigging them up over and over and over. Do I have to pull up the fuckin’ interviews?! Do I have to pull up the AllHipHop.com questionnaire when they asked me my top 5 and 4 women were listed in my top 5! Remember, there was line that said Kim, Foxy, and Remy. Nobody remembers that!”
Nicki now feels like the new artists in the game are being trained to disrespect her and she’s not cool with it…
