It was round two for Nicki Minaj and Joe Budden as she sat down for a special episode of the Joe Budden podcast where the two continued their conversation which began on Queen Radio earlier this week.

This time, the two were a lot more calm, and engaged in multiple different discussions about “gatekeepers” in media, haters, and where she feels she’s placed in hip hop history.

During part of the conversation, she addressed Rick Ross after he mentioned her and Meek Mill’s breakup in the 2017 track, “Apple of My Eye.”

He rapped the following lyrics at the time: “I told Meek I wouldn’t trust Nicki, instead of beefin’ with your dog.”

Nicki was not amused by the line, and recalled a time where Rozay texted his friend and praised her loyalty.

“I went and sat down in a meeting with President Obama, and Ross was there,” she said. ”[He] texted [Meek] after the meeting and said, ‘Yo, this chick is a keeper.’ I saw the text myself with my own eyes, ‘This chick is a keeper. She went in a room full of rappers and spoke to Obama and the first thing out of her mouth was about you and figuring out your probation situation.’”

She later continued.

“And then you come out with an album, when it’s time to sell some weak-ass f*****’ album, and try to disrespect Nicki Minaj?”

Damn.

The Queens rapper also addressed the controversy surrounding her collaboration track with Cardi B and Migos, “Motorsport.”

“I don’t think you knew [Cardi’s&#93 verse was going to sound like that, Budden said. “Let me let yall know how s*** works,” she replied. “There isn’t any song in the world that Onika Tanya Maraj is on…I have to clear every record. Which means I have to hear every record I’m on.”
