Lil Nas X was apart of Nicki Minaj’s stan group, The Barbz, before gaining his own stardom. Although it no secret now, initially Nas denied claims that he was a huge fan of the rapper.
It wasn’t clear as to why Nas denied being a Nicki fan, but, he recently spoke out via social media about why he didn’t want the world to know. Nas took to Twitter to let The Queen know that he wanted to work with her.

Nicki caught wind of the conversation and chimed in. She let Nas know her feelings were slightly hurt by him denying her, yet she was proud of his success.
