Nicki Minaj’s father, Robert Maraj, 64, was killed last month in a tragic hit-and-run.

According to reports, the rapper’s mother, Carol Maraj, filed a $150 million civil suit against the driver, Charles Polevich, 70.

Polevich hit Maraj while he was crossing the street on February 12 in Long Island, New York. Polveich stopped to ask the man he hit (Maraj) if he was okay but didn’t call for help before leaving the scene, according to the Nassau County Police. Maraj’s lawyer Ben Crump said Polveich was “not only irresponsible and negligent but more concerned about running away and hiding than seeking help.”

Maraj was taken to a local hospital. He was in critical condition and pronounced dead the next day.

Nicki hasn’t spoken out on her father’s death as of right now. She gave birth to her first and only child with her husband Kenneth Petty back on September 30.
