Three NYPD officers had a bad experience after dining at a popular burger spot, Shake Shack.
The cops were at the Shake Shack on 200 Broadway in Manhattan and order from the restaurant. An “unknown substance” was found in the officer’s shakes, they had to go to the hospital, and they’re in stable condition now.
Shake Shack issued a statement yesterday (June 15) and said that they are “horrified” by the report and will work with the police. New York City’s president of the Police Benevolent Association, Patrick Lynch, posted a statement to Twitter, saying that cops are under attack. He also claimed that the “unknown substance” was bleach.
We are horrified by the reports of police officers injured at our 200 Broadway Shack in Manhattan. We are working with the police in their investigation right now.

“#BREAKING When NYC police officers cannot even take meal without coming under attack, it is clear that environment in which we work has deteriorated to a critical level. We cannot afford to let our guard down for even a moment.”
In the recent report today, NYPD Chief Rodney Harrison Tweeted out that after a thorough investigation, no criminal activity was found on the behalf of Shake Shack or their employees.
After a thorough investigation by the NYPD’s Manhattan South investigators, it has been determined that there was no criminality by shake shack’s employees.

Employees at Shake Shack were questioned but no one was arrested.
This is what some people online had to say:
What's being done with the lying police officers?

Detectives are supposed to rely on FACTS to detect crime. THESE GUYS need training to keep their mouths shut until they KNOW what they are talking about. Just because they are "anti-protester" gives them NO RIGHT TO LIE because it suits their narrative.
