Offset is standing up for what’s right!

The Migos member defended Lizzo, who’s been receiving negative body image comments.

The pop singer recently sat with Ebro in the Am and spoke on critics who have opinions about her body. She also broke down during an Instagram Live and spoke on the hate she gets. During the live, she said, “Sometimes I feel like the world just don’t love me back. It’s like, it doesn’t matter how much positive energy you put into the world. You’re still going to have people who have something mean to say about you.” She continued,

“I just feel like I’m seeing negativity directed towards me in the weirdest way, like, people saying s–t about me that just doesn’t even make sense. It’s fat-phobic and it’s racist and it’s hurtful. I’m not making music for anybody.”

Ignorant trolls online accused Lizzo of only making songs that cater to white people. The “Truth Hurts” singer clapped back and said,

“I’m a Black woman making music. I make Black music, period. I’m not serving anyone but myself. Everyone is invited to a Lizzo show, to a Lizzo song. To this good energy. Everyone is invited. …For the people that just are always going to have something negative to say about me, that has nothing to do with music, or the content of my character, or me as an artist, and just has everything to do with my body or whatever trope you think I fall into, suck my pussy from behind. Cause y’all motherfuckers gonna be the main ones catching up.”

Cardi B. and her husband, Offset, defended Lizzo. Cardi said in a Tweet, “When you stand up for yourself, they claim your problematic & sensitive. When you don’t, they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny, big, plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you. Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table.”

Hot New Hip Hop points out TMZ caught up with Offset and he said, “Let these beautiful Black women be great. Stop judging and bringing out negative energy. We work hard to be entertainers for the world. Let us be.”
