R. Kelly’s recording studio in the West Loop area of Chicago was inspected after violations on building were found.
This inspection was granted by a judge in Cook County after the City demanded to get inside of the studio. The studio is located in a warehouse where the City attorney’s had received anonymous calls and tips that people may be living there although the building isn’t supposed to be occupied for living quarters.
According to reports, witnesses have said that they have seen a lot of traffic going in and out of the building as well as young girls standing in the back alley.
One main violation that inspectors found was the building was being used for residential purposes without any approved permits or plans.
