The Tekashi 6ix9ine case continues. In a recent court hearing, it was determined that Anthony “Harv” Ellison, one of the defendants will be going to trial to fight against 6ix9ine.

As reported by Complex, Ellison is accused of kidnapping and robbing the ‘FeFe’ rapper last July and has made it clear that he will not be accepting a plea deal. Deveraux Cannick, Ellison’s lawyer,  said that it will be a ‘safe bet’ for his client to take his case to trial. This is an outcome that 6ix9ine’s lawyer was hoping didn’t happen.

After the hearing, Cannick stated, “Anthony Ellison is going to trial. The only motive he has for going to trial if Tekashi’s the one making the accusation, he wants to say, prove it.” Cannick also mentioned that 6ix9ine’s initial public statements did not mention Ellison’s name.

Ellison will be charged with assault and not kidnapping due to a recent Supreme Court decision was clarified after the hearing.
