Empire star Jussie Smollett was the victim of a heinous homophobic attack by two men early Monday morning, which is being classified as a hate crime. Now police are currently looking for the men after they caught a lead from watching surveillance footage from that night for hours.
Although they are unsure what caused the attack, there are currently 12 detectives going over this case to ensure that suspects are caught. It was reported the two white men were yelling racial and homophobic slurs to the Empire star before they beat him up, fracturing his rib, poured bleach on him, and put a noose around his neck.
Sources says that the video matches the description that Smollett gave to the police after the attack. We are keeping Smollett in our prayers.
