Alex Trebek posted a video with a deep message.

He revealed to the world that he has stage four pancreatic cancer. The 78-year-old legendary Jeopardy host learned about his health condition last week.

In the video, he said he said he plans to fight, even though the prognosis isn’t “encouraging.” He said the love from his fans, prayers, and support from his family will help him see this through. “I plan to beat the low survival rate statistics for this disease.”

Trebek will also continue to work because he still has three more years as a host under contract. He plans to be “open and “transparent” with his fans. In the video, he also said, “keep the faith and we’ll win. We’ll get it done. Thank you.”
