After a series of reports, it has been confirmed that John Singleton has passed away at the age of 51.
Singleton is the mastermind behind the classic film Boyz n the Hood and TV series American Crime Story and much more!
Last week it was reported that Singleton suffered from a stroke, and was later in a coma.
The Oscar nominated director was on life support before his family announced that they would be taking him off at some point today.
“We are grateful to his fans, friends and colleagues for the outpouring of love and prayers during this incredibly difficult time…We want to thank all the doctors at Cedars Sinai for the impeccable care he received.”
