Moss’s tie read the names of 12 Black men and women killed by the police. Moss wanted the families of those victims to know that he is with them.
Following his speech at the ceremony, Moss explained the significane of the tie to the NFL network saying:
“I’m not here voicing, but by these names on my tie at a big platform [like] the Pro Football Hall of Fame, there’s a lot of stuff going on in our country and I just wanted to let these family members know they’re not alone.”
