RCA To Stop Releasing R. Kelly’s Music

The pressure following the airing of Lifetime’s 6-episode docuseries Surviving R. Kelly is beginning to mount up.

According to TMZ, R. Kelly’s record label RCA has decided to stop releasing the singer’s music until criminal investigations in Georgia and other states are completed.

Sources familiar with R. Kelly’s contract and dealings with RCA/Sony tell us … the label will not produce any of the singer’s new music, it will not put money behind any of his projects, and it will not release any additional music until the criminal investigations in Georgia and other fallout resolve one way or the other.  

Kelly released a brand new single in the beginning of the new year called “Born to my Music,” and was reported to be working on a brand new album.

He reportedly has two more albums for fulfill his contract with the record company.

Recently, Lady Gaga and Celine Dion both decided to pull their duets with R. Kelly off streaming platforms due to the increasing pressure from the #MuteRKelly movement.
