Comedian, and radio show host, Rickey Smiley reveals that his 19-year-old daughter was shot three times over the weekend.
During his radio show this morning, Rickey let his co-host know that he was distracted due to the news he received. He had just found out that, Aaryn Smiley, was shot at a drive-thru in Houston. According to Rickey, Aaryn was walking to get food at Whataburger, when the shots were fired.
Rickey let his co-host know that he was attempting booking a flight to Houston, but because of COVID-19 he had no luck in finding one, and so he’ll be driving from Dallas to Houston.
Aaryn is currently in the hospital awaiting surgery, “I get the luxury of going to the hospital, even if they don’t let me upstairs to see her, waiting in the lobby,” said Rickey. “Think about all the parents that got to go pick out a casket this morning.”
Aaryn is expected to make a full recovery and we are praying for the Smiley family.
