Rihanna isn’t trying to offend ANYONE!
When the wealthiest female artist shouted out to the creative director for her Savage X Fenty fashion show, Parris Goebel, Riri referred to Goebel as her “spirit animal” and that didn’t sit well with a fan.
The user wrote, “Please stop using “spirit animal” unless you belong to one of the indigenous groups to which this concept belongs.”
Rihanna responded and said, “You’re so right! It won’t happen again.”
The use of the term is considered a form of appropriation for the Indigenous culture.
