The queen of soul has passed away at the age of 76.

After a fight with cancer, the legendary singer known for classic songs such as “Respect” and “Chain of Fools” passed away at her home in Detroit this morning (Aug 16).

She is the first woman to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.

We learned of her condition earlier this week, when reports of her being “gravely ill” was originally reported.

Our prayers go out to friends and family.
