Whenever a hot song comes out, it’s expected that other rappers will hop on the remix!
However, people were NOT expecting Safaree to jump on “WAP” with Cardi B. featuring Megan Thee Stallion. People on Twitter had very mixed reactions about it, take a look:
I just know Safaree did not really just do that remix to WAP. 😐 pic.twitter.com/6M560LeolD

Now I see why Nicki used to treat Safaree the way she did. 😶 pic.twitter.com/vXHYCaw6Oj

Can we just have our Hot Girl Quarantine in peace? 🥴 No Safaree, we did not need your input at this time.

City Girls made a song called Pussy Talk and some rapper made a remix called Dick Talk. Cardi B & Megan Thee Stallion made a song called Wet Ass Pussy and Safaree made a remix called Big Ass Dick. Men just won’t let women have anything.

It also sparked a bigger conversation on Twitter. Throughout Nicki Minaj’s career, she has taken a lot of pride in the fact that she writes her lyrics. People created a narrative that Safaree was the mastermind behind the pen game and although he’s credited on some songs, “Did It On Em,” “Stupid Hoe,” “Roman Reloaded,” and a few more, it doesn’t take away from her skill as a lyricist. After hearing Safaree’s “WAP” freestyle, people do not believe that he ever wrote for Nicki.
What do you think of Safaree’s remix?
