Soulja Boy will be spending more time behind bars after a judge ruled on his sentencing for violating his probation.
The rapper was sentenced to 240 days in jail, and 265 hours of community service after law enforcement authorities raided his home and found ammunition after his ex-girlfriend alleged to have held her captive. He was arrested on April 11.
His was placed on probation after pleaded no contest to felony possession of a firearm in 2017. Part of the deal allowed five years of probation, and 240 days of community service to avoid jailtime.
Earlier this year, Soulja Boy became a viral sensation due to several appearances, and interviews in which he claimed Drake stole his style.
According to TMZ, Soulja Boy’s lawyer claims that the rapper had recently underwent an “awakening” after being put behind bars.
