St. Lunatics member Ali is feeling a type of way.
As reported on Hip Hop DX, the rapper called his former group member, Nelly, out. Ali shared an old video of Nelly giving Ali credit for helping him take a new direction with the music. In the clip, Nelly also said that Ali’s help led to a lot of success.
This is what Ali said in his post, take a look:
“Well, here is some entertainment to help you through your Monday blues….. Lastnight Nelly sent one of his subliminal disses towards me and my career…..” Ali went on to say that he wrote Nelly’s music and played a role in Nelly’s career.
“The Truth is ..Nelly = … Ali. I wrote it & he said it and we sold 10,000,000… Go to his page ….. do you notice that he hasn’t said ANYTHING about that country album !!?? Well I’ll tell you why …13,000 !!!! Wow , that’s how many copies of that album he sold !!.” Ali also said he put his career on hold to make sure Nelly was straight.
“‘MY'” career was writing you a career. Smh… to be continued (it’s all the most grand illusion ever pulled , and it’s all unraveling RIGHT NOW… and he’s mentally suffering trying to hide the secrets)…. now let me get ready to drop wisdom off at school !! Peace & enjoy your day!! Check it out:
In February, Ali wrote another lengthy message, saying Nelly “hustled” the group. Nelly hasn’t publicly addressed Ali’s new comments. Back in Feb., Complex reported Nelly briefly spoke on the situation. He said his decision to be a solo artist “did not sit well with everybody.” Complex notes, Nelly said, “when he was offered a record deal, he wanted to make sure that they could release a group album after working on his debut solo record Country Grammar.” The Lunatics didn’t want to be on the group’s only album, Free City, “unless they would get paid appropriately.”
