Styles P Speaks On When The Lox Got Their Publishing Back From Diddy
Styles P is letting it be known The Lox hasn’t had Diddy “publishing issues” since 2021.
Earlier this month, it was reported the Bad Boy CEO declined nine figure deal to sell the Bad Boy music catalog in favor of “giving back to the people who helped build his company.
Artists like Mase, Faith Evans, The Lox, 112, and the estate of The Notorious B.I.G. signed agreements to receive their publishing rights. Forbes reported that the process to give back their publishing rights started in May 2021.
The Ghost echoed the report and sent a message to social media. Today (September 12), Styles P said, “TO ALL MEDIA OUTLETS AND JOURNALISTS. The LOX has had its publishing back since June of 2021. Should have asked us how we felt about it at the time!” Take a look:
Last week, Mark Curry, who appeared on the 2001 classic hit, “Bad Boys For Life,” with Diddy and Black Rob, spoke out against his former boss. In a lengthy Instagram video, Mark called Diddy “disrespectful” and compared the situation to Diddy giving him back his girlfriend 10 years after Diddy had four kids with her.
Mark thinks the move is a means for Diddy to stay relevant. He asked Diddy, instead of giving it back, that he should pay him $1-2 million, but Diddy declined.
The former Bad Boy artist also called Diddy out for confessing that everything he owned belonged to someone else.
