Swizz Beatz wants to pay tribute to the found fathers of hip hop in a major way.
We recently reported that during an Instagram live conversation with Joe Budden, Swizz expressed that he feels the people who birthed the number one genre in the world, hip hop, which includes, Melle Mel, Grandmaster Flash, and Sugar Hill Gang, are deserving of being paid taxes.
He also mentioned that the newer generation of rappers should “pay taxes to the icons.” Swizz went on to say that he wants to raise $1 million apiece for each founding father of hip hop.
Today, Swizz jumped on Instagram live with LL Cool J to further explain his idea of paying dues. He writes, “I see many people talking about what they thought I said! This is actually what i said !!!!!!!!! Blessings to the founders of HIP HOP!!! Thx Take a look.”
