The Coronavirus, scientifically known as Covid-19, is affecting thousands of people worldwide. As of today, March 10, there are 100,000 confirmed cases and nearly 5,000 deaths.

People are taking extra precautions stocking up on sanitizers, Lysol and face masks. Some areas of the world, like some parts of Italy, are on lockdown and people are quarantined. Gov. Cuomo declared a state of emergency in New York earlier this week after confirmed cases of the virus doubled from 5 to 11 overnight. There are about 57 individuals infected who are in the Westchester County Area.

A lot of public events have been canceled or postponed. The South By Southwest Festival was supposed to go down in a few weeks has been canceled. Coachella was supposed to kick off in April but is being pushed back to October. Other public events like sports are taking extra precautions, limiting the number of people who are in the locker rooms to the players and reporters.
