Sydney Leday- the second victim in the shooting that took Takeoff's life, speaks out in an exclusive interview.
Leday who'd just turned 24 two days prior to the shooting says she was out celebrating. "Like any other 24-year-old, I was just out partying and celebrating," she explains. The night was going well- until it wasn't. Leday explains. Around 2:30 a.m., she said she could sense something was wrong as she saw Quavo get upset during a dice game. She initially thought it was just regular trash talking but began to notice things was getting serious." That’s when I knew something was wrong," she said.
When gun shots were fired, Leday says she began to run. She then fell to the ground and felt a stinging sensation in the back of her head. Although she got shot, she was able to make it down an escalator and to a friend's car, who took her to the hospital. "I really just can say I'm grateful to be here," she said.
After spending a week in the hospital and recovering- Leday was released and went back home. She was unaware that anyone- including Takeoff was injured in the shooting.
