T.I. is calling for people to join him in protest of one of the most popular franchises in the United States.

Over the weekend, footage surfaced of two black men being arrested at a Starbucks in Philadelphia after a store manager called 911 claiming they were “trespassing” and had not bought anything from the coffee shop at the time.

It turns out that the two real estate agents were sitting peacefully waiting for their friend.

Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson was a guest on Good Morning America, and had hoped to meet the men face to face.

“I’d like to have a dialogue with them so that I can ensure that we have opportunity to really understand the situation and show some compassion and empathy for the experience they went through,” he said. “Finally as we’re working to solve this, I’d like to invite them to join me in finding a constructive way to solve this issue.”

This is his second public statement since the incident went viral. According to a report they have agreed to meet, but have no disclosed date at this time.

No charges were brought to the men who ended up being released late that night. There have been protests in the area due to the incident.
