T.I. set the internet on fire following some comments he made on a recent podcast, as well as faced backlash over being accused of being an “overbearing parent.”
During a conversation on the Ladies Like Us podcast, the rapper spoke on how he handles conversations about sex with his children. That’s when he opened up about accompanying his 18-year-old daughter Deyjah to the gynecologist to make sure her hymen was intact therefore ensuring him she was still a virgin.
“So we’ll go and sit down and the doctor will come and talk and the doctor’s maintaining a high level of professionalism,” he said. “He’s like, ‘You know sir, I have to, in order to share information’… I’m like, ‘Deyjah they want you to sign this so we can share information. Is there anything you wouldn’t want me to know? Oh, ok. See doc, no problem.’”
While she is yet to speak publicly about the the world now learning about the college freshman’s business, she did react by liking some tweets that spoke against her dad’s decision to share the story with the world.
One of the tweets read, “this is disgusting, possessive and controlling,” and another read, “that is just beyong possessive.”
