The suspect charged with murdering Takeoff has been released.

According to TMZ, Patrick Xavier Clark left Harris County Jail in Houston, Texas after posting $1 million bond on Wednesday (Jan. 4) night. His initial bond was set at $2 million but his lawyers Carl Moore and Letitia Quinones argued that it was excessive and unconstitutional. They attempted to have it reduced to $300,000 but it was denied.

According to court documents, Clark is required to wear a GPS monitor while on house arrest so that law enforcement can track his every move. He is not allowed to have contact with certain people connected to the case including Takeoff’s family members and music executive James Prince and his family members. The 33-year-old man is also banned from possessing deadly weapons and must surrender his passport. His next court date is scheduled for March 9.

“Neither Patrick nor his family posted the bond in this case,” Quinones said in a statement to XXL. “A concerned citizen and family friend who believes in Patrick’s innocence posted the bond on his behalf. Like any other defendant, Patrick is presumed to be innocent and has the right to bond. He also has an obligation to comply with all the terms the court has laid out. He intends to comply fully and will appear for proceedings whenever the court requires him to do so. We believe Patrick is innocent and at the appropriate time, the evidence will reveal that to be the case.”

As previously reported by HOT 97, the Migos member was shot and killed during a private event at 810 Billiards & Bowling Houston. According to law enforcement, the 28-year-old rapper was  was not armed and was just an innocent bystander. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
