Usher has been in some hot water over the last few days, as a result of a comment he made about Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim.
During an Instagram live session with Swizz Beatz, Usher mentioned that he felt Lil Kim paved the way for Nicki Minaj, and Nicki’s fans are not happy with his comments.
While the two were discussing who should be on the next battle, Swizz mentioned the two Queens, he said “but then I seen Lil Kim VS Nicki..I see a lot of that.” Almost hesitant, Usher replied with, “Nicki is a product of Lil Kim.”

Of course Nicki Minaj and Lil Kim fans had opinions on his statement, and so did singer Tamar Braxton.
During an interview with TS Madison, Tamar stated that she disagreed with Usher’s comments, and isn’t a fan of artists being pinned against each other. “What I said was Kim did pave the way for Nicki and in return Nicki paved the way for others too! What I don’t agree with is artist being pinned against each other I said what I said still love Usher tho..”
Nicki Minaj or Lil Kim has yet to respond to these comments, but Nicki did tweet this.
