Tekashi 6ix9ine should have been celebrating the release of a new single “Fefe” featuring Nicki Minaj. Instead he had to deal with a traumatic experience in which he was kidnapped and robbed.

According to police sources, he was a passenger in a vehicle which then stopped at a traffic light. At that point another car tapped the car Tekashi was riding in from behind. Thinking it was a minor traffic accident, they saw two men get out of the car, and then pull out guns and made him get into their car.

They kidnapped him, drove him to his home and allegedly robbed him of about $750,000 worth of jewelry before knocking him out. The moment he regained consciousness, he took the moment to escape the vehicle and check himself to the nearest hospital. According to the source, he later checked himself out when officers arrived.

He spoke about the incident during a conversation with Akademiks, where he believes it was an inside job.

“It was an inside job,” he said. “It wasn’t no outside n****s. It’s n****s that know how the King of New York moves, you know what I’m saying? The only person that can get a Pharaoh in Egypt is the person who helped build the f***ing kingdom. The n**** that’s right next to him. The n**** that know who built that s***, that got the blueprints.”

Tekashi also went onto Instagram to address his fear of the situation, and express that he thought of XXXTentacion’s situation when it happened to him.
