Elon Musk is the official “Chief Twit.”

The Tesla CEO finalized the deal to acquire Twitter. Since the move, Elon reportedly wasted no time and fired Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal, CFO Ned Segal, and general counsel Vijaya Gadde. He’ll make more cuts in the future.

TIME points out that Elon said he wanted to attain the social media platform “because it is important to the future of civilization to have a common digital town square, where a wide range of beliefs can be debated in a healthy manner, without resorting to violence.”

In addition, Elon plans to “restore dialogue” on the platform. The billionaire also suggested allowing former POTUS Donald Trump access to the platform. His account was permanently suspended in 2021 after the company found he encouraged MAGA supporters to storm the capital. However, Trump says if his ban was ever lifted, he wouldn’t go back on the platform.

Elon reportedly acquired the deal for $44 billion.
