It’s the moment we have been waiting for!
Last year, the internet began buzzing following a fan trailer by Morgan Cooper titled Bel-Air which dramatized some of the biggest moments of the 1990’s sitcom. Now coming in 2022, we got an early holiday treat with the first official trailer of the reboot.
According to Deadline, Bel-Air will take place in modern day as it showcases Will Smith being shipped off from West Philadelphia to live with his uncle and aunt across country in the luxurious Bel-Air. Cooper will continue on the project as he directs and is also a co-writer and executive producer.
Jabari Banks will play Will in the series, with Adrian Holmes playing Phillip Banks, Cassandra Freeman as Vivian Banks, Olly Sholotan as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones as Hilary Banks, Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks, Jimmy Akingbola as Geoffrey, Jordan L. Jones as Jazz and Simone Joy Jones as Lisa.
The series has been ordered for at least two seasons on Peacock.
