The Kid Mero of the comedic duo “Desus and Mero”,  breaks his silence and tells why he decided to split from Desus, which was announced a few weeks ago.

“Desus and I had discussed pursuing separate interests over a year prior to the show coming to an end and that conversation solidified us in signing overall agreements that recognized our intent to operate independent of one another,” Mero said.

He went on to say that it wasn’t an easy decision to make but reassured fans that the two will still be supporting each other.

Mero revealed that his separate creative path will include a lot of writing. “I started writing so I want to dig a lot more into that, features, series, books, I want to get into all of that.”

Desus and Mero got their start in 2014 when they launched their Complex TV web series “Desus vs. Mero”, however, the duo gained popularity in 2015 with their podcast, Bodega Boys.

Their podcast would later be aired on Viceland for two seasons before moving to Showtime in 2019.

We wish them the best in their career paths.
