Fans are gearing up to officially say good-bye to The Wendy Williams show after 13 seasons.

The last episode will air on Friday, June 17th. It was initially reported that the show was supposed to have a number of different host, holding it down for Williams as she recovers from her personal health concerns. It was later announced that the show was ending, and that Sherri Sheppard would be getting her own talk show in its place.

It’s being reported that Williams will not be in attendance for the final episode, however, a video will play paying tribute to the host. A rep for the show released a statement about the final episode.  “The final original episode of The Wendy Williams Show will air on Friday, June 17th, with a video tribute to the iconic host. The series comes to an end after 13 successful years in syndication.”

Fans weren’t too happy about the news that Wendy will reportedly not be on the final episode of her show. One fan wrote via Twitter, “Wendy Williams deserves so much better. She built this show and its audience— to not even pay her the bare minimum respect of letting her appear on its farewell episode is egregious. They handled her so poorly in the wake of her health issues” and another, “Why can’t Wendy host If she wants to be there? Wendy should be allowed to host her last show!”

The Wendy Williams Show was one of the longest-running programs for the Fox and Debmar-Mercury network.
