There’s been debate over the young artists taking over hip-hop right now. Do they have talent? Can they really rap? Is this just a gimmick?
One artist who’s rapping ability no one questions is J.Cole, and it turns out, he’s a fan of XXXTENTACION.
In an interview with the No Jumper podcast, Cole says he hadn’t heard of XXX until he watched the video of him getting knocked out on stage on the internet. After that, Cole says he ended up listening to his music and became a fan.
“The kid got punched on stage, it was clearly big enough to make into my realm,” Cole said. “So that leads me to hear some of his shit, damn, this n—a’s actually talented.”
