On Thursday (April 6), Trayvon Newsome, 24, Michael Boatwright, 28, and Dedrick Williams, 26, were sentenced to life in prison for the murder of rapper XXXTentacion, TMZ reported.

On June 18, 2018, the 20-year-old rapper, whose real name is Jahseh Onfroy, was gunned down during a robbery in his home state of Florida. As he was leaving Riva Motorsports in Deerfield Beach, two masked men jumped out of a blue Dodge Journey, stole a bag full of cash and shot him multiple times. Investigators said those masked men were Newsome and Boatwright and Williams was driving the SUV.

All three of them were convicted back in March and given first-degree murder, firearm, and armed robbery charges. A fourth accomplice, Robert Allen, was said to be sitting in the back seat of the SUV. He was also arrested and charged last year. He pleaded guilty to second-degree murder and testified against his co-conspirators in the trial. Allen has yet to be sentenced.

Rest in peace XXXTentacion.
