Tony Yayo made an appearance on "Drink Champs" this past Saturday (July 8) to speak about his career, the rise of G-Unit, and more. During the conversation, the New York rapper stated that 50 Cent was not feeling 2003 hit single "Many Men" from his classic debut album, Get Rich or Die Tryin.'
“50 didn’t even like ‘Many Men,'” Tony Yayo said, before noting that he played a role in getting the song on the album. “That’s where it was my talent. Look, my talent is sometimes I could be in the studio and I could pick the record for you. So, I’m like, '50 you buggin' ‘Many Men’ is the shit.'”
50 Cent's “Many Men (Wish Death)” is a 3x-platinum song that was released in 2003. It samples "Out of the Picture" by Tavares and was produced by Darrell "Digga" Branch, Eminem and Luis Resto. The single peaked at No. 11 on Billboard's U.S Bubbling Under R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. In 2020, the late Pop Smoke interpolated the song on his hit "Got It on Me." That same year, Metro Boomin also sampled “Many Men (Wish Death)" on his and 21 Savage's track "Many Men."
