Over the weekend, Tory Lanez posted a video of himself stopping a video shoot after a darker skinned woman was swapped out for a lighter skinned woman. He then addressed the issue of colorism on Instagram.

Following the post, one of the alleged models decided to debate Lanez side of the story allowing for chatter online about the post being strictly for publicity.

Then the other woman came out to confirm Tory Lanez’s side of the story.

Now it is Lanez turn to address the rumors, with a post on Instagram.

“This is the one and only time ima address this,” he wrote. “I went out of my way to bring awareness to an important topic of discussion that never gets addressed. The internet has a funny way of tryna take the light off of truthful s***. IF this was a publicity stunt, why would I be doing it for someone elses music video? Why wouldn’t i have paid the females involved? And if I did pick both girls then how come there’s only shots of me with the ebony model and not with the other one? Mind y’all this video shoot happened 3 months ago and a behind the scenes camera man DM’d it to me the other day.. All parties that were involved know exactly what happened in the 30 minutes that I was at the shoot. Whethere or not they wanna be truthful or not. Much love.”
