Tory Lanez is remaining hopefully.
We previously reported that Tory's motion for bond was denied yesterday. According to a member on his legal team, Tory called his attorney after the decision was made and reportedly mentioned that he still has faith that justice would be served. Tory's legal also said Tory wasn't shocked by the judge's decision. The rapper told his legal team that he believed this was “all in God’s plan” to begin with.
Reporter Meghann Cuniff reported via Twitter, "Tory Lanez is officially headed to prison. 'The motion will be denied and proceedings concluded. Thank you,' Judge [David] Herriford said. Lanez grinned at his supporters, including his father and friends from the Unite the People legal services group, before being led out," Legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff reported on Twitter.
According to Rolling Stone, Judge Herriford denied the bail motion, noting the “violent felony” Lanez was convicted of, his “history of violating court orders,” namely the previously instituted protective order, and his deportation risk as he is not a United States citizen.
