Travis Scott Explains WHY He Decided to Perform At The Super Bowl

Bad decision or a business move?

For a few weeks, the NFL was searching for another half time performer since Cardi B backed out and many other celebrities declined. Most artists who are in solidarity with Colin Kaepernick, who was blackballed from the NFL after he took a knee during the national anthem, wanted NO PARTS of the NFL. Colin sacrificed his entire career to fight for equal rights so it seems like a slap in the face when artists choose sides with the NFL.

But did Travis actually “choose” a side? According to a report, Travis spoke on his decision to perform at the Super Bowl. He said, “I back anyone who takes a stand for what they believe in. I know being an artist that it’s in my power to inspire.” He then said that part of his deal for doing the show is for the NFL to donate money to Dream Corps and their mission is “to inspire action, serve justice and improve people’s lives.”
