Travis Scott graced the cover of the September issue of GQ magazine and talked about a variety of topics. https://www.instagram.com/p/CECoKkBp36M/In the editorial, Travis talks about writing his first song for a film. The song is for Christopher Nolan's thriller and it's called Tenet, a movie La Flame describes as “fire.” Then after Travis talks about his third studio album, Astroworld, he dives into the racism in America. He said,“These days, to be Black and brown in America feels like living in a dystopia. Federal stormtroopers have landed in cities across the country while protesters are maimed for marching against racial inequity under the order of a president who has demonized Black Lives Matter groups.”The “Highest In The Room” rapper called 2020 a “moment of serious reckoning during a critical election year.” When asked about police brutality, he said,“It's a point where there has to be some acknowledgment, like, ‘This sh*t is not cool. We've been through this for how many years? It's a fight that we've been fighting for, and it seems no one wants to give us this result we've been looking for—for years—and our voices need to be heard.” To help make a change, Travis has been in communication with the mayor of Houston (his hometown) about how he can be more involved with the community, beyond donating money. He wants to have a “lasting impact.”Travis didn’t want to talk about his relationship with Kylie Jenner, the mother of their two-year-old daughter, Stormi Webster. He did say due to the pandemic, he’s been able to spend more time with his baby girl. “Thanks to the pandemic, this is the longest he's been in one place, and he's relishing being home with Stormi. It's amazing just to watch my daughter grow. I’m keeping her aware of what's going on in the world. As a parent, I'm always instilling knowledge, even at this age.”https://www.instagram.com/p/CEClDk0p1a9/ When asked about Kanye West, who brought Travis into the music industry, Travis said “Everyone's entitled to their own [opinion]. I just tell him how I feel. How people feel about this shit.” Travis also said he feels he has a responsibility to say something to him since that’s his big bro. Travis also confirmed he has more music on the way with Kid Cudi. Earlier this year they released “The Scotts,” this could be the first single from the project. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sw4r0k8WWqU
