Trippie Redd released his debut studio album, Life’s A Trip, earlier this year. The album had an impressive first week and landed on the No. 4 spot Billboard’s Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. The clear rising success of his music career has opened up plenty of new opportunities for the young Ohio rapper, from touring all across the nation, to collaborating with huge names like Diplo and Young Thug, and now, making appearances commercials that air during the Emmys.
His cameo, although very brief, is a win nonetheless. The new Hulu commercial aired during this past Monday night during The Emmys, one of the most prestigious events in the entertainment world with millions of people tuning in to see if their favorite is able to grab a coveted award. Trippie Redd appears in the ad alongside superstars like James Harden, Jared Goff, Sarah Silverman, Sofia Vergara and more.
The commercial takes on a clear sarcastic tone, having the celebrities encourage viewers to opt-out of spoiling themselves by saying things like “don’t fly first class,” “don’t add bacon,” and ‘don’t get a walk-in closet.” Then, it ends with “don’t get Hulu,” equating the luxury of getting the streaming service with life’s many other treats.
