A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to restore DACA, a program that protects undocumented immigrants who came to America as children from deportation.

On Friday, U.S District Court Judge Nicholas Garaufis ordered that the Department of Homeland Security to start accepting new applications for the DACA program as early as Monday, December 7th, 2020.

The terms of the federal program must immediately be restored to the way it was before while under the Obama Administration. It’s two-year permits qualifying immigrants must also be restored.

According to reports, the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals, (DACA) currently protects almost 640,000 undocumented young immigrants and about 300,000 people who are eligible for the program or waiting for their chance to apply.
