Tyler Mitchell is heading to the Smithsonian Museum!
The 24-year-old photographer gained notoriety for being the first African American photographer to shoot for the fashion brand in its 125- year history. Mitchell shared the exciting news on Twitter. See post below.

The portrait was the cover of the September 2018 issue of Vogue. According to People, The National Portrait Gallery released a statement about having the portrait. “We are delighted to acquire this magnificent portrait of Beyonce.”
There is no date as to when the portrait will be on display. Congratulations Tyler Mitchell!
