It was an emotional birthday for Vanessa Bryant because it would be the first year she will be celebrating it without her husband, Kobe Bryant. 

Bryant, who just turned 38, found a letter that was written by the late NBA legend a month before his untimely death. Kobe addressed her as “The Love of My Life, From, Tu Papi” and in the envelope, Vanessa described that there was a picture that Kobe drew of her with an angel.

Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna Bryant, and seven other people died in a helicopter crash on January 26th,2020.

Vanessa Bryant is survived by her three daughters.
