Sofia Laine is speaking out about her relationship with her daughter, Vanessa Bryant, again.
During a recent interview, Sofia claims that she attempted to get in contact with Vanessa following Kobe’s passing. She shared that she was removed from the Bryant’s home “visitor” list, and was only allowed to speak to her granddaughters via FaceTime, yet when she called Vanessa did not answer.
Sofia reported expressed that she “misses her family dearly and a piece of her was taken, when Kobe and her grand daughter Gigi passed away.”
Although Kobe and Vanessa has fully supported her financially for 20 years due to her becoming disabled, she says Vanessa has been cutting her off financially, little by little ever since the passing.
We previously reported, that Vanessa issued a statement following her mother’s comments in the media. “My husband and daughter passed away unexpectedly, and yet my mother had the audacity to do a television interview speaking negatively of me while shedding tears for a car and a house that were not in her name,” Vanessa reportedly said. “She has removed all her diamond jewelry, emptied the apartment I provided, and put away the furniture to make it look like she doesn’t have my support. My husband and I have supported her financially for the past 20 years, and continue to do so, in addition to her monthly alimony.”
Vanessa shares that her mother “has not been physically present or emotionally supportive” since the passing of Kobe and Gianna. “Contrary to previous reports, she has not been physically present or emotionally supportive of my daughters and me after my husband and daughter passed away.”
She continues, “Now I see what is most important to my mother and it’s more than painful. I hope that everything that is coming out about our personal relationship ends here.”
