Kanye West takes the crown!

It has been a tumultourous year for Yeezy, but it has not hurt his bank account one bit.

For the first time ever, he becomes hip hop’s highest-paid act according to Forbes. He sits at number one after making $150 million, pretaxed this year thanks to the success of his Yeezy collection with Adidas. This is a huge jump after earning $27.5 million.

This is the first time he has ever out earned Hova according to the publication.

Jay-Z comes in second after earning $81 million followed by Drake who sits at the number 3 spot with $75 million.

Rounding off the top-10 list is Diddy ($70 million), Travi$ Scott ($58 million), Eminem ($50 million), DJ Khaled ($40 million), Kendrick Lamar ($38.5 million), Migos ($36 million), and Childish Gambino ($35 million).

As for the women, Nicki Minaj takes the number 12 spot at $29 million, and Cardi B follows her at $28 million.

Kanye West recently announced that his brand new album Jesus Is King will be released on September 27 with 12 new tracks for his fans to enjoy. This comes after the success of his Sunday Service shows that he has promoted on social media for the past few months.
