Wendy Williams is ready to get back to and fast.

The daytime talk show host hasn’t been on the air since March 12th due to her producers complying with the coronavirus shutdown protocol. Despite all of this, Williams is ready to reconnect with her audience again.

While appearing on the Dr. Oz show, Williams stated how she begged and pleaded with network bosses about letting her go back to work. “I said, ‘But I can do it even with no audience. I don’t even have to have the staffers there because I did that for two days, but they said, ‘No. We need to have you home, indefinitely.’ There will be no more Wendy or any of the other people for a period of time.”

Williams also stated that she was willing to risk it by filming with one camera and a flashlight. Williams’ show joins other live produced shows who have stopped filming due to COVID-19.

It is unclear as to when Williams will be back on the air.
